Five audits · one rule: read-only, runs in your tenant

The Microsoft 365 spend and exposure
nobody is looking at

Each Scout is a small PowerShell audit you run yourself with Microsoft Graph. It reads, never writes, and leaves an HTML report and CSVs on your machine — licences you pay for and nobody uses, storage add-ons you can drop, Copilot seats sitting idle, Power Platform premium creeping in, and content shared far wider than anyone intended.

No agent to install · No data collected · No subscription · Free Lite tier on every Scout
SeatScout
Which licences are assigned and never used?

Unassigned, inactive and disabled-but-licensed seats across every SKU, priced at your rates. The renewal-negotiation number.

Free LiteSolo $49 · Pro $129seatscout.dev →
StorageScout
Which storage add-on can you stop paying for?

SharePoint pool position, idle Extra File Storage, version-history and recycle-bin bloat, stale sites — and every departed-user OneDrive before day 93.

Free LiteSolo $59 · Pro $149storagescout.dev →
PilotScout
How many Copilot seats are actually used?

Never-used, dormant and disabled-account Copilot seats joined with Microsoft's per-app usage report, plus Chat-only users who don't need a paid seat.

Free LiteSolo $69 · Pro $179pilotscout.dev →
PowerScout
Where is Power Platform premium creeping in?

Capacity add-ons the new default entitlements made redundant, unassigned premium licences, orphaned flows and apps, empty environments.

Free LiteSolo $69 · Pro $179powerscout.dev →
ShareScout
What can Copilot see that it shouldn't?

Anyone links, sites open to every employee, stale guests, broken inheritance, ownerless sites, missing sensitivity labels — with a Copilot exposure score per site.

Free LiteSolo $79 · Pro $199sharescout.dev →
Scout Suite
All five, one purchase.

Solo: the five Solo editions for one organization — $199 instead of $325. Pro: the five Pro editions, white-label, unlimited client tenants — $499 instead of $835. Licences and Copilot seats pay back in one renewal cycle; storage monthly; ShareScout before any Copilot rollout.

How every Scout works

No SaaS sign-up, no "connect your tenant to a third party". You run it; the report stays with you.

Connect read-only

Run the script. It signs in to Microsoft Graph (and, for ShareScout, SharePoint) with read-only scopes you consent to. There is no server on our side.

Scan & quantify

It reads what Microsoft already knows about your tenant, applies your own prices or thresholds from an editable CSV, and computes the number.

Act on the report

Open the HTML report and CSVs, work the remediation checklist, re-run next month. Lite tiers give the CSVs; Solo and Pro add the report.

From the Scout blogs

Practical write-ups with Microsoft's own numbers and sources. Each lives on its product's site.

About

M365 Scouts is an independent software vendor. The Scouts are built by a Microsoft 365 and SharePoint architect who spent years producing these exact numbers by hand for clients and packaged the scripts instead.

We say who we are when we post: on Reddit we are u/Inevitable_Market293 (display name M365 Scouts), on X @m365scouts, on LinkedIn the M365 Scouts page. Anything we write about Microsoft 365 pricing or behaviour is sourced to Microsoft Learn and dated.

Support for every Scout: support@m365scouts.com. Purchases are handled by Lemon Squeezy (merchant of record); every paid tier is a one-time price with 12 months of updates.
